1. About These Terms

These terms and conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the tanzenenergy.com website and all services provided by Tanzen Energy Limited (“we”, “our”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales, operating from Manchester House, Grosvenor Hill, Cardigan, Ceredigion, SA43 1HY.

By using our website, requesting a quotation, or engaging us to carry out installation works, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Our Services

We provide installation and consultancy services for:

  • Haydale JustHeat graphene underfloor heating systems
  • Solar energy systems
  • Battery storage solutions (including sodium ion technology)
  • EV charging installations
  • Flooring services (LVT, engineered wood, ceramic, porcelain, natural stone, laminate)

We are a certified Haydale JustHeat installer for Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire. For enquiries outside this territory, we will refer you to Haydale directly.

3. Quotations and Surveys

3.1 Site Surveys

Most installations require a site survey before we can provide a formal quotation. Site surveys for residential properties within our service area are provided free of charge unless otherwise stated.

3.2 Quotations

All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. A quotation becomes a binding contract only when you accept it in writing and we confirm acceptance. Quotations are based on the information available at the time of survey; if site conditions differ materially from those surveyed, we will provide a revised quotation before proceeding.

3.3 Cooling-Off Period

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of contract. If you ask us to begin work within the cooling-off period, you will be required to pay for any work already carried out should you then choose to cancel.

4. Installation Works

4.1 Access and Preparation

You are responsible for ensuring clear, safe access to the installation area. For underfloor heating installations, this means the subfloor must be level, clean and free from existing flooring unless removal is included in the quotation. We will advise on preparation requirements during the survey.

4.2 Timescales

Estimated installation timescales will be included in your quotation. These are good-faith estimates. We will communicate any delays promptly and work to minimise disruption.

4.3 Variations

If additional work is needed beyond the agreed scope (for example, subfloor levelling discovered during installation), we will notify you immediately and provide a revised quotation for approval before proceeding.

5. Payment

Payment terms will be set out in each quotation. Our standard terms are:

  • A deposit (typically 30%) payable upon acceptance of the quotation
  • The balance payable on satisfactory completion of the installation

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. We reserve the right to charge interest on late payments at 8% above the Bank of England base rate.

6. Guarantees and Warranties

6.1 Workmanship Guarantee

All installation workmanship is guaranteed for a minimum of 12 months from completion. This covers defects arising from our installation work. It does not cover damage caused by misuse, flooding, structural movement or unauthorised modification.

6.2 Product Warranties

Manufacturer warranties on products we install (including Haydale JustHeat systems, battery storage units and solar panels) are separate from our workmanship guarantee and are passed through to you. We will provide all relevant warranty documentation upon completion of installation. Specific warranty periods and terms vary by product and manufacturer.

6.3 Performance Data

Any performance data we reference (including energy savings, heat-up times, and efficiency ratings) is sourced from manufacturer documentation and independently verified testing. Performance figures are indicative and actual results may vary depending on property characteristics, insulation, usage patterns and environmental conditions. We do not guarantee specific energy savings.

7. Technology Partners and Third-Party Products

We install products manufactured by third parties, including Haydale. We select these partners based on product quality and verified performance data. However, we are not the manufacturer of these products and cannot accept liability for product defects. In the event of a product issue, we will assist you in pursuing a warranty claim with the relevant manufacturer.

8. Service Area

Our primary service area for installations is Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire. We may accept work outside this area at our discretion, and additional travel costs may apply.

9. Your Obligations

You agree to:

  • Provide safe and reasonable access to the property
  • Disclose any known issues with the property’s structure, electrics or plumbing that may affect the installation
  • Ensure all necessary permissions and consents are in place (e.g. listed building consent, landlord permission)
  • Allow us reasonable working hours to complete the installation
  • Not interfere with, modify or tamper with installed systems without our knowledge

10. Liability

We carry public liability and employer’s liability insurance. Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the contract value of the relevant installation. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or special losses.

11. Intellectual Property

All content on tanzenenergy.com — including text, images, design and code — is the property of Tanzen Energy Limited or its licensors. Third-party product names (including JustHeat, HDPlas and Haydale) are trademarks of their respective owners.

12. Complaints

If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please contact us at hello@tanzenenergy.com or by phone on 07356 065255. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 2 working days and resolve them within 14 working days.

13. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, supply chain disruption, manufacturer delays, pandemic, or government action.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on our website.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are unaffected.
